[In the early 1970s the state legislature ordered the compiling of an index for each county in Texas. However, they did not adequately fund it, so only a small part of the counties were indexed. Most of them are within 200 miles from Dallas/Ft. Worth.]

Most are 19th century but others come up into the 20th century. These are available from the GLO on microfilm.] ____________________. Texas Land Titles: Vol. 1-A (extreme NE Texas Counties). Paris: Wright Press. [This book contains only the extreme NE counties found in Vol. 1 of Texas Land Titles compiled by Bascom Giles while he was Land Commissioner.] _____________________. The GLO has original land ownership maps for each county in Texas. They sell for about $15.OO EACH. Contact the GLO in Austin for them.
