Obituary for William Jackson DeFee Jr.
8 September 1912 - 9 March 2005.
Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana.

WILLIAM JACKSON DEFEE
A family graveside service for Mr. William Jackson
DeFee Jr. will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, March 11,
2005, with the Rev. Mary Beth Foye officiating.
Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery under the 
direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. DeFee, 92, of Alexandria died Wednesday, March 9,
2005, in Tioga Manor Nursing Home.

He was formerly a member of First Christain Church, 
Alexandria and currently a member of First United
Methodist Church, Alexandria. Mr. DeFee was a member
of Alexander Lodge #398 F&AM, where he was a Past
Master, and a member of J.T. Charney Chapter OES, 
where he served as Worthy Patron. Mr. DeFee was a
World War II Army Air Corps Veteran and served in the
Pacific Theatre.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucile Clements 
DeFee; parents, William Jackson DeFee and Ruby Dennis 
DeFee; brother, Robert Lee DeFee; sisters, Ruth Sweeney 
and Frances McLarty; and granddaughter, Amy Brumley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Dr.
William Jackson DeFee III, of Alexandria and John C.
DeFee of Natchitoches; daughter, Janet DeFee Brumley of
Birmingham, Ala.; sisters in law, Wilton Graves of
Nashville, Ark. and Polly DeFee of Texarkana, Texas;
six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. DeFee was my Mother's brother. He was the son of
William Jackson DeFee, a prominent citizen of Texarkana,
Texas in the early 1900's.
