Anthony Bernard Sweeney, born 1852 in Donegal, Ireland
Came to America abt. 1874. Originally in Missouri as his brother,
Edward Daniel Sweeney stayed there while Anthony later came to
Texarkana in the early 1880's.

He and Mary Ann were married in Texarkana, Arkansas in 1886.
Anthony was in business with Michael Cassidy, another pioneer of early
day Texarkana. Mr. Sweeney owned and operated a saloon on
East Broad Street for many years and when alcohol was voted out,
he retired not long after.

The Sweeney's lived for many years at 406 Beech Street, Texarkana, Arkansas.
Mr. Sweeney died 7 april 1926.
