She took the job when her husband Lige Barber was shot and killed.
She captured the Outlaw Kinney Wagner.
1924 - Lillie Barber becomes one of the first female sheriffs in the county when she replaces her husband,
Lish Barber, after he died in a grocery store shootout on College Hill.
Convicted of Barbers murder was a former Texarkana, Arkansas police chief.
