Funeral services for Lottie Mae Hobbs, 97, of Point were held Saturday, May 4, at Cozine and Tarver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy L. Price officiating.
Burial was in Benton Hill Cemetery in Point.
Mrs. Hobbs died Thursday, May 2, in Sulphur Springs.
She was born April 9, 1905, in Celeste to Arthur and Addie Hill.
She was a member of Richland Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Leroy Hobbs of Amarillo, Arbie Hobbs of Dallas and Claude Hobbs, Jr. of Point; seven daughters, Bernice Smith of Sumner, Myrtis Richardson, Joyce Mayberry, Bonnie Mathis and Darlene Nutson, all of Dallas, and Dovie McDonald and Marva Shaw of Greenville; 31 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hobbs was the niece of Fannin and David Garrett and DeEster Parker, all of Emory.
Her husband, four sisters and three sons preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Audrey Mayberry, 48, of Emory were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, at Richland Baptist Church in Point with Rev. R.L. Stephney Jr. officiating. Burial was at Benton Hill Cemetery in Point.
Mrs. Mayberry died Thursday, December 25, in Dallas.
She was born October 24, 1955, in Point (Richland) to Charlie and Aretha Mayberry. She was a laborer.
Survivors are brothers Edward Thomas of Sulphur Springs, Sammy Williams of Dallas, Steven Mayberry of Houston, Randy Mayberry of Dallas, and Ronnie Mayberry of Point; sisters Annie Cotton of Dallas, Loretta Payne of Rowlett, Beverly Brown of Dallas, Benita Givens of Dallas and Shelia Chism of Dallas.
Her parents, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.

Rev Armistead David Greer

Death: Nov., 1968, Point, Rains County, Texas, USA
Reverend Greer was born to Green and Violet Greer. He attended public schools there and in his youth accepted Christ and joined the Baptist Church.
He lived in Holly Springs until he was 13 years old, (abt 1890) and then moved to Fannin County, Texas, later to Hunt County, Texas. Later he enrolled in Hearne Academy, Hearne, Texas. Upon graduation he taught school and farmed, and in later years entered the ministry.
In 1902 he moved to Richland Community, Point , Rains County, Texas where he met and married Miss Cordie Leggett, and to this union eleven children were born. His wife and one son preceded him in death.
Rev. Greer was a member of the Richland Baptist Church for over sixty years. He served as the Assistant Pastor. He also served as Trustee of the Richland High School for many years. He served on the Committee for the Community Action Program in Rains County.
The testimony of all who knew Rev. Greer was -- "He lived his religion. He was a dedicated worker." It is because of his life and love for his Saviour and fellowman that his love ones have the confidence that he sleeps in Christ.
Those left to cherish the memory of him include: seven devoted and loving sons and three daughters: Theo, Rev. Emmitt A., Archie - Dallas,

Mrs Eldora Hoskins was born to the parentage of Rev and Mrs Armstead Greer in Greenville, Hunt Co, Texas. Later the family moved to Point, Rains Co,TX. (Richland Community) She grew up in Richland and attended the public schools there. She expressed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Richland Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hoskins was married to Mr. Walter W Hoskins, Sr, and to this union five children were born.
In 1951, she moved with her family to Dallas, TX. She was a member of the Good Street Baptist Church and worked with the WAtson Memoiral Missionary Society.
She passed this life, Monday, 16 March 1970.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husand, Mr Walter W Hoskins, Sr, three sons, Messr. Walter W Hoskins, Jr, Vernell Hoskins, Leon Hoskins, Dallas, Texas; two daughters Mrs Leola Johnson, Los Angeles, CA ; Mrs Imeree Hoskins, Dallas, Texas, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, seven brothers, two sisters, one uncle, two aunts, and other relatives and friends.
Interment Richland Cemetery, Point, TX.

Funeral services for Bonnie Ruth Williams, 71, of Point were held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in Richland Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. Stepney officiating. Rev. Vernon Minter gave the eulogy. Burial was at Benton Hill Cemetery in Point. Mrs. Williams died October 4, 2005, of natural causes. She was born in Quinlan on February 8, 1934, to L.V. and Dorothy Mae Willie. She was a member of Richland Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired school teacher. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Shields of Point; a sister, Erie Lee Taylor of Terrell; and a grandchild, Reginald Shields II of Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Williams; parents, a brother, a niece, and an aunt. Cozine and Tarver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Arbierene (A.R.) Hobbs of Dallas were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Rev. Larry Price officiating. Burial was at Benton Hill Cemetery in Point. Mr. Hobbs died March 6, 2006, at a Dallas hospital. He was born on Feb. 20, 1932, in Point, to Claude and Lottie Hill Hobbs. He was a member of True Lee Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas and the Sharp Shooters Sportsman Club. Survivors include special friend, Diana Parker of Dallas; two sons, George Hobbs and Cynthia and Arbierene Hobbs Jr. and Aurora of Dallas; a daughter, Belinda Jagers and Alphonso of Dallas; brothers, Leroy Hobbs of Amarillo and Claude Hobbs Jr. of Point; sisters, Vernice Smith and Thomas, Myrtis Richardson, Moyce Mayberry, Bonnie Mathis, Darlene Nutson and John, all of Dallas, Dovie McDonald and Robert, and Marva Shaw and Jessie of Greenville; and seven grandchildren. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
