1887 1st school building built
July 5, 1897 Commissioners' Court of Rains County granted
petition for establishment of County Line District #3
July 13, 1897 J.C. Garret sold 2 acres to County Line School
District #3 for $5
August 31, 1921 Line camp #1671 of the Woodman of the World transferred
all rights to building (they'd used the 2nd floor), furniture and fixtures
to County Line school.
From intersection of Hwy. 69 and Hwy. 19, travel Hwy. 19 north for
about 6 miles. Turn left onto FM 514. Travel about 3.5 mile to a curve,
the road splits and FM 514 curves to the left and the right curve becomes
County Road 275. Follow County Road 275 for 0.7 miles. The school house
sat on the right side of the road where the current County Line Baptist
Church is located
