McMahan, Mrs. E.B. Adams and Mrs. Willett, and will be incorporated. The business will be under the management of Mr. Allen, who is one of our leading business men.

New Business House
G.W. Alexander and D. Ingram are opening a stock of groceries in the Rodes building, between Tackett & Allen and Ashburn.  They expect to be ready for business by Saturday.  Both gentlemen are well known and their entrance in the local field of business will doubtless meet with a cordial reception.

Dipping Vat
J.W. Cox is having a vat made in which he will dip his cattle to get the ticks off of them.  He says the cattle are suffering very badly from this cause and believes it will pay everybody to dip their cattle, which he says can be done for 2 cents, after your vat is prepared.  Mr. Cox’s vat will be located one-half mile North of town

Press Parlor Changes Hands
Grover Stuart and D.W. Taylor have bought the M.F. Rogers pressing parlor on the West side of the square and will move it to Mr. Taylor’s stand in the First State Bank building where the 2 will be combined.  The boys are able to serve the trade in this line better now than before and invite the public to give them their business.

New Restaurant
We have opened a restaurant at the old Voos stand on Railroad street in Emory and will conduct a first-class eating house, short orders a specialty. Come in to see us when in town and we’ll do our part to make your visit pleasant.

Business Change
D.J. Nabors has sold his drug store to Jesse J. Newman from the prairie, and Mr. Newman took charge of the business Saturday evening.  Mr. Newman will have with him Mr. George Woodson, a registered pharmacist, and will add more good to the stock.  Mr. Newman will move his family to Emory as soon as he can find a suitable residence.  Mr. Nabors says he will still be here for some time winding up his business but expects to go to Oklahoma in the Spring and engage in the stock business.

New Drug Store
Emory is to have a new drug store, Mr. J.T. Reeves and son, Alvin, having placed an order last week for fixtures and a stock.  It will be located in the Rodes building which has been occupied by Alexander & Ingram, the latter firm moving to the S.C. Alexander old stand.  The new drug store will have the latest and best furniture and soda fountain and proposes to have something equal with towns much larger than Emory.  The business will be opened about the first of December and the style of the firm will be the Reeves Drug Store.

J.F. Hays has sold the City Meat Market to Marshal Alexander, the latter taking charge Wednesday morning.

Notice to Friends
I have bought the Vincent barber shop in Emory and will conduct the same at the same stand.  I have Mr. Lon Musgrove and Mr. Will Heeth with me regularly and Mr. Vincent Saturdays.  Have had the shop cut off from the other part of the building and made other improvements for the convenience and comfort of the trade.  Make us a visit when looking for tonsorial work.
